The Phlebotomy Technician course offered at Bismarck State College is affordable and flexible, making it an ideal investment for individuals looking to begin their career in healthcare. The course can be completed in 16 weeks and will provide the skills necessary to secure a job as a Phlebotomy Technician. BSC will help coordinate hands-on experience and training at a clinical site allowing students to gain the skills and confidence needed. Prior learning credit is available to receive college credit for this non-credit course.

Registration Requirements
  • Registration closes ten (10) business days prior to the course start.
  • Before registering, please understand the Clinical Prerequisites outlined on our website at bismarckstate.edu/phlebotomy. If the Clinical Requirements are not met the course will be incomplete and a refund not available.
  • Due to the need for understanding medical terminology, a solid foundation of the English language is a must. An English assessment exam prior to registration can be completed by contacting the BSC Testing Services Coordinator at (701) 224-5658.
  • Register online or in person at Bismarck State College, National Energy Center of Excellence, 1200 Schafer St, Room 107. Payment must be remitted at the time of registration.
  • Our primary method of communication is by email. Monitor email for communication from bsc.training@bismarckstate.edu detailing how to access course content.
  • Purchase scrubs and school supplies (must have a computer and access to the internet).

Notice

Please read:  Tuition includes online access, books, lab supplies, and clinical coordination. There is an additional fee for books that will be added at checkout. This registration is for a Wednesday day lab from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Course size is limited to 7 students.

Students must pass a background check, drug test, and submit a current immunization record directly to CastleBranch. This is a clinical requirement and is the financial responsibility of the student ($166.00 approx.). Acceptable results must be received by the deadline given by the instructor. Students who begin the course and fail to meet any of the clinical requirements will not be eligible for a refund.

Appropriate dress for a laboratory setting is mandatory. Scrubs are required. No open toed shoes. Lab coats will be provided.
