A discussion of Ernest Shackleton's book South and his record of the Trans-Antarctic expedition (1914-1917) that became famous because of the resulting wreck of his ship, the Endurance. We will also discuss the recent discovery of the wreck of the Endurance and how Shackleton's expeditions have left an enduring mark on exploration around the globe.
