The research continues to roll in: eating like a Mediterranean has been shown to reduce your risk for heart disease, cancer, and diabetes; aid in weight management, and protect you against dementia, depression and Alzheimer's disease. Chef Duane Ehrens and his wife Karen Ehrens, a Registered Dietitian, share background on the diet, recipes, and meal suggestions to help you eat more like a Mediterranean here in North Dakota. Duane and Karen will share practical information about how to include more whole grains, vegetables and fruits, beans and quality fats and oils in your diet. The class will be held in a live virtual environment and participants will be able to ask questions and receive expert advice in real time!
