Yeast is the soul of bread. Capturing wild yeast cultures and creating artisan loaves takes a little time and planning, but you can learn how to make a beautiful crusty loaf of bread with four simple ingredients - flour, water, salt and air. Baking your own bread saves money and is a much healthier alternative to purchased breads with incredible amounts of sodium. Even if you have never baked bread before you will be able to create a "kneadless" loaf of bread in your own kitchen. Plus you will learn a lot about bread in general and the Germans from Russia practice of Ewiger Saatz or Everlasting Yeast. Participants will be baking their own loaf of bread and receive a cup of culture to take home. Supply fee is included in registration fee.
