This is a four week class to train and prepare to test for the CGC test. The first three weeks will be the preparation phase and the fourth class will be the actual test, conducted by Betsy Hamkens, a CGC evaluator for many years. This is a great class to increase your dog’s training knowledge and experiences. The class fee includes the test fee. Learn more about the class online.

Equipment and requirements for this class are: VACCINATION RECORD ADMINISTERED BY A LICENSED VETERINARIAN ONLY (to include Distemper/Parvo series, Rabies and Bordetella), a collar, a harness may be used for the testing day, a leash (no flexi, chain or expandable leash), the dog's brush, and soft training treats for the three preparation days. The dog must have some knowledge of sit, down, stay, coming when called and controlled leash walk and be comfortable around people and other dogs.  Enroll and expand on your k9 family member's knowledge and enjoy the journey to becoming a Canine Good Citizen. The ten test items can be reviewed on the AKC.Org site under the canine good citizen section. Any attendant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
