« back to classes page
Embroidery is a beautiful handcraft that has been around for ages. Almost everyone had at least one embroidered towel or pillowcase tucked somewhere in their home. If you are interested in trying it out for yourself, join us! From hoops to needles, floss and fabric, you will get started right away. This class will specifically show you Sashiko, which is a striking hand-sewing technique that originated in ancient Japan. In Japanese, its name means “little stabs”—a reference to the plain running stitch that makes up sashiko’s geometric, all-over patterns. A supply list will be sent prior to start of class.
