Learn to Play Chess

Whether you are brand new to chess or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this class will introduce the essential skills needed to enjoy and improve your game. Participants will learn how to properly set up a chessboard, understand the rules of play, and explore basic strategies and tactics used by successful players. The course will also cover key concepts of the opening, middlegame, and endgame, helping students develop a solid foundation for future play.
Students are welcome to bring their own chessboards, though it is not required. Friends and family members are encouraged to enroll and learn alongside you, providing a fun way to practice outside of class. Please note that each participant must register separately to attend.
