Increase your puppy's confidence, respect, trust, and interaction skills "pawsitively." In this class for you and any puppy 6 months and younger, learn the basics of puppy behavior and simple obedience. Each session will be divided into five segments: 1) Puppy 101; 2) behavior issues including mouthing, biting, and chewing; 3) obedience instruction such as "focus," "sit," and "down"; 4) a controlled confidence activity, such as tunnel play or hoops; 5) playtime for positive interaction with other dogs and people. The tasks listed above are just a sample of what will be discussed! Each week, a new concept will be introduced and previous concepts reviewed, so that you and your puppy build its skills. Participants need to bring their puppy with collar (no harness), leather or nylon leash (no chain or flexi), soft training treats, and a squeaky toy. Proof of vaccination (distemper/parvo, rabies, and Bordatella is recommended) by a licensed veterinarian is required. Bring a notebook if you would like to write down lessons. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
